Services: Youth Housing Specialists

Sunshine Youth Housing LogoSunshine Youth Housing provides information and advice to young people aged 15-25 years who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Sunshine Youth Housing also provides assistance to young people in securing long term housing i.e. private rental, public housing and social housing, including rooming houses.

Along with advocating, Sunshine Youth Housing will send referrals to health practitioners, drug and alcohol services and mental health services on behalf of the young people attending their service, as well as teaching those young people personal development skills. Outreach is also available. This service is a free service to all young people accessing the service.

Sunshine Youth Housing operates within the framework of Opening Doors as part of the SASHS Access Point and is a partner agency of the Youth Allocations Committee (YAC). All referrals to Sunshine Youth Housing must come from the SASHS Access Point.
