One of the most important weeks of the year is drawing near, National Youth Week 2012, when we take time to celebrate the contribution made by young people in our community.
In previous years, we have been able to provide a great local event. However, this year we have limited space due to our building works program, but we wouldn’t want the week to pass without acknowledging the young people who access the services at the Visy Cares Hub.
Instead, we have organized a one night only showing of Fighting the Dragon with Luck which is an Angelo Pricolo Production hosted by Village Cinemas.
Improving health and wellbeing is one of our primary focuses. The more we understand and can help families to understand the issues faced by young people in terms of substance abuse, the more we can reduce stigma and improve life chances for young people across the Western Region.
