Ardoch Youth Foundation

Services: Education, and Volunteering

Ardoch Youth Foundation LogoThe Ardoch Youth Foundation is a community funded, not for profit organisation working to make education a reality for young people, including those experiencing long-term and situational socioeconomic disadvantage. Ardoch understands that education provides the means for creating options and choices in life. We recognise that when young people and families experience things like poverty, family breakdown, alcohol or drug abuse, violence, unemployment, mental illness, learning or language difficulties, it can be really difficult to access a relevant education. It can be difficult to learn and it can be difficult to stay at school.

The Ardoch team includes an army of over 400 community and 4000 corporate volunteers and is working across approximately 50 schools and early childhood centres. Ardoch recognises that many early childhood centres, primary and secondary schools are unable to respond as adequately as they would like to young people in such circumstances. This is where the Ardoch expertise lies. Our Education Support Centres mobilise community and business resources in the form of money, services, goods and volunteer time with a clear message that everyone can make a difference.

Ardoch’s Education Support Centres in Melbourne’s West currently involves two kindergartens, six primary schools and one secondary school. Ardoch works in partnership with Sunshine Kindergarten, Sunshine North Kindergarten, Ardeer Primary School, Dinjerra Primary School, Sunshine Harvester Primary School, Sunshine Primary School, Sunshine North Primary School, Albion North Primary School and Sunshine College (West Campus) providing support for the various individual needs of the schools.
